Tai Swim Local Sessions: A Community Pop-Up Series

For a long time Tai Swim mostly lived online. Which is funny because the whole reason I started this brand was to make things for real people in real places. Friends. Community. Girls I actually knew and talked story with. Somewhere along the way everything became screens and shipping notifications and I realized I missed the part where we actually get to hang out together.

So we’re starting something new. Or honestly maybe something old that we’re bringing back in a better way.

Tai Swim Local Sessions is a series of pop ups around town where we get to exist offline for a minute. The goal is simple. Try bikinis on in real life. Talk to each other. Meet the people behind the brand and the girls who wear it. No pressure to buy anything. Just showing up matters.

I’ve always believed bikinis make more sense when you can feel them. When you can see the colors in natural light. When you can laugh with your friend in the fitting room and decide together which one feels like you. Online shopping will never replace that feeling.

We’ll be popping into places that already feel like home. Local stores. Yoga studios. Fitness spaces. Surf shops. Restaurants. Cute cafés. Anywhere that makes sense for community to naturally happen. The idea is less about selling and more about creating little meeting points around the island where we can connect face to face.

We’re kicking off the first Local Sessions with Canopy Yoga, Bizia Surf Café, and CorePower Yoga studios around Oʻahu. These are spaces built by people who care about movement, sustainability, and bringing people together, which feels exactly right for how this series should begin.

Eventually I want this to travel further. Outer islands. New neighborhoods. Different communities that deserve their own moment to gather and hang out with us. Tai Swim has always grown through real relationships and this feels like the most honest way to keep doing that.

If you come by just to say hi, that counts. If you want to try things on and never buy anything, also perfect. If you stay and talk story longer than planned, even better.
